Frank Hernandez Becerra

Frank is survived by his parents Frank and Mary Ann, his sister Michelle and four children Frank, Aaron, Olivia and Anaise.

Frank lived a meaningful life filled with accomplishments and achievements while surrounded by the love of his family and friends. He had the honor of serving in the US NAVY from 1992-1998 as an Aviation Structural Mechanic while earning a National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He also received the Southwest Asia Service Medal with a bronze star, 3rd Rank Navy “E” Ribbon and a 1st Rank Good Conduct Medal. During his service in the NAVY he aided in Operation Desert Storm during the largest military alliance since World War II. While life in the NAVY kept Frank very busy, he also greatly enjoyed his free time since he was stationed in beautiful sunny San Diego California with his family. Shortly after Frank’s successful career in the NAVY he joined the Police Force in Youngtown Arizona. Frank’s love for law enforcement and his fellow officers was unlike any other, Frank was proud to wear his badge everyday and looked forward to serving the community. One of his proudest Call to duty moments was saving 7 people from a burning house just 4 years into his career. He was honored with a medal for his amazing service to others and for the outstanding job he did in this selfless heroic act.

Franks love of music gave his life color and excitement. Whether he was singing to the oldies or getting down to Tejano music, you could always depend on him to have the best selection of music and know all of the greatest artists. Franks collection of Tejano band T shirts never ran short since you could catch him at every concert enjoying life and always getting lucky meeting the band and taking pictures while sharing his love of their music with them.

Franks love for his family was the purest and deepest kinds of love one could ever experience. His thoughtful heart of gold made every encounter one to remember. His laugh and smile lit up the room while his stories always held everyone's attention. Frank’s way of being so thoughtful and compassionate set him apart from anyone you’ve ever met. He loved his children more than he could ever express and was always so proud of them and constantly called them his biggest accomplishment in life. The love he had for his mother and sister was unbreakable and you would never see one without the other, he enjoyed every moment with them because to him moments were memories, and when it came to his mom and sister there were never too many memories to create. Frank loved his nieces and nephews and enjoyed keeping up with their lives and made sure never to miss a single moment. He was especially grateful for his Tia Clara who was so loving and helpful in caring for him not only during the last couple years but during his last days.

Frank will be deeply missed by his family, friends and anyone that knew him.
