Eloise Clarice (Kutz) Seabert, 96, of Glendale, Arizona entered into heaven peacefully on September 12, 2019. Eloise was born on August 22, 1923 to Gertrude (Hoebert{who passed when Eloise was just 12 years old) and Carl Kutz, in Dwight, Illinois. Eloise was the middle of three children. Eloise grew up in Dwight and graduated from Dwight High School. Eloise attended Business School in Chicago and had a career as a book keeper. Eloise met and married her only love, Myrle “Mike” Seabert, in November 1952 and they relocated to Joliet, Illinois where they raised three children.
Eloise had many hobbies that she enjoyed around the house. She loved her sewing machine and making her children’s clothing when they were young. She crochet blankets, afghans and dish towels that her family still use and cherish, and she belonged to the “bitch & stitch” club where she could visit and share patterns and such with other ladies. She was also a baker. Her children have memories of snicker doodles, oatmeal butterscotch cookies, cakes, and apple and rhubarb pies. When she was able, Eloise attended King of Kings Lutheran church and read her daily spirituals up to the end. Eloise always had herself well put together, wearing the jewelry that she loved and special clothing that her daughter-in-laws got for her. Eloise was particularly fond of receiving flowers and opening gifts and you could see the joy on her face. As Eloise aged she liked to play cards with her friends and family; and, even though, she couldn’t remember some things she always won when it came to playing “rummy”. She and her friends read all kinds of books and would share them amongst each other.
Eloise leaves behind her son Ron (Mauree) Seabert & Jerry (Denise) Seabert; grandchildren Nicole Agne, Kyle (Anne Noeble) Seabert, Janeen (Alex Fisher) Seabert and Haley Seabert; great grandchildren Desiree, Marissa, Danny, Brayden, Josh, Brody & Abigail; niece Ann Manno and nephew Owen Kutz.
Eloise is preceded in heaven by the love of her life Myrle; her son Norman Seabert; her brother Herbert Kutz (who perished in WWII) and her brother Marvin (along with his wife Bernie who passed together) Kutz.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday September 17, 2019 at 230pm at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
