Dorald Louis Shepard

Dorald Shepard, age 89, of Phoenix, passed away on 9/28/2022 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born on 10/2/1932 to the late Oscar and Lillie (Spaulding) Shepard. He attended Phoenix Union High School graduating class of 1949. He was a lifetime member of the Carpenter and Joiners Union. He worked as a construction superintendent for many years, building such complexes like the Smitty’s Grocery stores and SkyRanch at Carefree. On 12/28/1951 he married Barbara Louise Wilson in Phoenix, AZ.

Dorald was cofounder of Shepard’s Iris Garden where he and Barbara grew many thousands of irises for 40 years.

Dorald is survived by his 2 daughters, Nancy Ostermeier (David) and Cindy Stahl (Bill); Sister, Mary Higginbotham; Grandchildren; Christopher Ostermeier, Jessica Taronji (Brandon), Scott Stahl (Natalie); Great grandchildren; Ares Ostermeier, Alexia Taronji, Brailey Stahl, Landrie Stahl Williams (Kade); Great-Great Granddaughter; Hazel Mae Williams. He was proceeded in death by his wife Barbara and brothers Elbert & Charlie Shepard.

Funeral services to be held at Chapel of the Chimes 10/12/22.
