Donald Eugene Krohn Sr.

Donald Eugene Krohn, Sr. passed away on May 7, 2023, with his daughters by his side. He was born on April 7, 1935, in Decatur, Illinois to Donald and Gladys Krohn. His parents both passed away before Don was five. His elderly grandparents raised him and his sister.

Just after his 16th birthday on May 9, 1951, Don married Jeanette Borders. They shared 66 years of marriage prior to her passing on September 2, 2017.

He is survived by three children Debra (Michael) Howard, Deone (Robert) McClure & Daniel (Sandy) Krohn, eight grandchildren Clint, Chad, Cody, Carli, Jaime, Cory, Ryan & Daryn, 19 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren & son-in-law Bryan Runnels.

In addition to his parents and wife Don was preceded in death by a son Donald Krohn, Jr., daughter Decky Runnels, sister Shirley Brougham, and daughter-in-law Barbara Krohn.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 6-8 PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 1:30 PM at the funeral home. He will be buried with Jeanette at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
