Domenic Martino

Domenic Martino, aged 89, of Holiday Vista Del Rio, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024. Domenic's life was marked by its complexities, and his journey's end leaves behind a tapestry of memories, both cherished and challenging.

Born in Modugno, Bari, Italy, on July 15, 1934, his professional life as a butcher for Berlinger and his service in the Italian Military were marked by his dedication to his Italian roots. He found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. With his wit and fourth-grade education, Domenic created a life and a 16-year marriage with Maria Martino (Lamberta), raising 5 children: Frank (Jan) Martino, Margaret (Dean) Palumbo, the late Joseph Martino, Rosalia (Late Jim) Krueger, and Maria Martino. Domenic and his girlfriend, Joan Mares, dated until her passing in 2022.

Domenic is survived by his siblings: his late sister, Maria Martino, Nancy (Filippo) Chiaramonte, Teresa (Frank) Chiusolo, and Gino (Marilyn) Martino. He leaves behind grandchildren: Felys (Jeremy) Abernathy, Robert Stern, Randall (Mae) SolikStern, Steven D’Amato, Jessica Martino, Teresa & Mary McNulty, the late Nicholas Krueger, and Nicole Krueger. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren: Patrick Powers & Amiyah Martino.

For everything he accomplished in his life and for everyone he has touched, he will be loved and missed. The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 North 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301, followed by a graveside service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
