We remember seeing Michele and Dennis at Michele’s brother Sam’s wedding. They had brought an Indian style purse that they purchased and  gave to his niece, our daughter, Nichole. She cherished that purse so much she still has it to this day. Dennis and Michele were both so generous and kind with gifts and love. I remember spending time again in Sam’s back yard and how Dennis was always the life of the party laughing and making everyone feel welcome and comfortable around him. We took pictures that day but we are still trying to find them. The last time we saw him in person was in 2017. I remember the first time we saw him he smiled and said “You look good.” He was a very kind gentle soul. I remember many times he sent me messages on Facebook to cheer me up. He even helped encourage me as I lost my very special fur baby Oreo, he had cancer and was going through that and still reached out to comfort me about losing my dog. That alone spoke to my heart and speaks volumes about his character as a person. Souls like Dennis our rare and he has touched so many lives, he was always positive and upbeat. He alway looked for the good and had a grateful attitude. I don’t think we ever saw him when he was not smiling. We will miss not seeing his posts on Facebook.We will miss Dennis  and wish we could have spent more time with him in person. May he rest in paradise. May the God of all comfort wrap his arms around you as a family. May the memories Dennis made with his family he loved keep his love alive in your hearts. My boys Jaxon and Ashton tell this story often. Ashton loves anything hot and Dennis had him eating ghost pepper chocolate when they went to visit in 2018. Jaxon thought it was too hot and and Ashton was just like Dennis and it was never hot enough. So thankful I found the video of this today that I completely forgot I had. But this is a still shot of the 3 of them together. 

Michelle, Craig , Jessie… I am sorry that I could not make it to be there before this event.  Your dad always made like I was his 3 rd son I always felt like family.  I love you guys.  I will see you soon.  Craig and Jessie remember.. like you I lost my dad one year before you and your dads legacy must live on with you guys..  God bless you. I love you! 

To my friend mentor and one of a kind hard working man. Thank you for your friendship and encouragement to get me where I am in my career. Miss our bs’ing in the morning drinking coffee before work. You had ton of stories that I repeat till now. May you Rest In Peace and may God console  your family during these times.

I’ll never forget meeting you almost 40 years ago in Spain. Inviting me to your home, for dinner and darts, you and Michelle inviting me to share Christmas with your family, then seeing you dress as Santa for Craig, Harley belt buckle included.

Grandpa,
I already miss you so much. You were always asking me to help with the lawn work, work on the cars, go swimming and most of all always going fishing with me. I will think of you when I do these things and wish you were there. But I know you’ll be watching over me. Thank you for going to my games and teaching me so much!

Many days as Dennis would be waiting for Michele and me to come out from work he would always have that smile on his face as Michele would tell him that is was because of me we where running late.  He knew we  were always up to something.   Or the times I would call Michele and Dennis would answer breathing heavy  making us laugh.   Dennis was a very caring man and loved life and his family.   Dennis you can RIP  knowing that you have two great sons that will watch over there mother and as I told Michele I am only a call away.  

Fourthy three years ago we met in a unique way,you said Airman you are out of Uniform, I responded with a blank you ,your response was were are you from I told you New Hampshire 
You responded by saying that explains the mouth later that night you grabbed for chow and that was the beginning of our long life friendship we grew up together and watched the kids grow up together Going to the lake the great memories are abundant I could right a book. The thing that was my greatest memory is you are and were always giving you and  Michele have been there always supportive of your friends and family you were my best and greatest friend I will always miss you, you are my  brother from another Mother. Deanna, Kristen and Bob Norell will miss you and have you in our memories daily 

Dad, I waited to the end to write this message as I am still scared to lose you even though you’re already gone. Everyone is talking about all the memories they have and I could go on forever from what should have been simple car rides to the last night we were together but you provided more memories than we could imagine for our family. We all knew you were in pain some days better than others but you fought for six years to make sure we could have even more with you although each day was a struggle and we all are so thankful. I knew this day was coming but I tried to stay optimistic that it wouldn’t now it has and it sucks. I joke each day just like you would to get by without the pain of you not sitting in your chair when we come over. I guess Heaven and God needed some laughter and help after the last two years of how messed up the world has been. You have taught Craig and I how to be great in life and we will never let you down. Most people think they have the best dad but we truly do have the best dad and that will never be contested. Every now and then you might see us cry when we think of you just like when we started your Chevelle last week after 12 years but don’t worry we will be okay for the simple fact we are MAREIRO’s that stick together forever. Dad may you rest in peace knowing Craig and I will do everything to make sure mom is okay and taken care of. We miss you everyday but love you every second. Love Jesse, Angeliqua, Alea and Adysen💜

You are an amazing man, dad, husband, father-n-law, friend and most of all a grandpa!
We had some great times together, camping, fishing, shooting in the desert, and our tradition of Sunday lunches at Brothers pizza. You are one of the most caring people I know. You and Michele would help anyone and everyone who needed it, without question. I am so lucky to have been apart of the family for most of my life.  Dennis, you could always make us laugh and you will be missed tremendously, now and forever. I am forever grateful for all that you’ve done for the family. We are thankful for you fighting for these last six years. You’ll forever be in our hearts!

Grandpa would take us fishing all the time! One time we went all the way to the fishing spot and grandpa forgot the bait or something so we had to go all the way back! My legs were hurting from riding the bikes so far! When we would go camping in the backyard, Grandpa always had the craziest stories for us, one of them went like this - He was in the woods and he was cooking, and Bigfoot came and knocked on his door and then ripped his arm off! And grandpa had to get it sewed back on! I really believed that was a true story! It was my favorite one. He made everything so much fun, even if it was just driving to get food. I miss him so much, i miss seeing him, talking to him and I mostly miss him picking us up after school. I hope you’re enjoying some pizza and wings up there grandpa, I love you so much.

My grandsons, Jaxon, Ashton, Jayden, and I made a trip to Arizona a little over 2 years ago to pick up a pup. We went to the BX and Dennis helped each one pick out a shirt and a pair of shoes, My grandsons were so proud of those shoes! He was the most giving Uncle. They will always remember him with love. Thanks for settling a wonderful example for my grandsons!

Well Dad, I’m at a loss for words to be honest, I knew our time with you was getting shorter and shorter by the day. I hope that the last night Jess and I got to see you and let you know that we are gonna be here to make sure mom is taken care of helped to give you some peace of mind. When we left you that night and hugged you and told you we loved you, I never thought It would be the last time. Dad, thank you for fighting for six long years through the pain to be here so that your grand children got the chance to get to know you! You have been such a large part of Alea, Aidan, Ady,Arianna and Ashys life! You have given each of them so many special memories and have helped Jesse and I to teach each of them how important family is. Dad, there is so much I want to say but am still at such a loss for words that I’m just going to leave it at we love and miss you more and more as each day goes by but we are happy that you are no longer in pain or having to suffer. Me miss you Dad, Rest In Peace until me meet again, Love Craig, Aidan, Arianna, and Ashtyn!

Our condolences to Michele, Jesse & Craig.  We have all been together as a family in good times & in bad.  Alea & Adysen have been our greatest joy. We are never ready to say goodbye forever even though we know it’s apart of life. Our hearts are heavy for losing someone so wonderful as you. Dennis you were a hero, a strong, hardworking, loving man. You made such an impact on so many people’s lives. You and Michele raised the best thing that has happened to me. I wish I told you more often how grateful I was/am for everything you and Michele have done for Jesse, Alea, Adysen and myself. Dennis, our girls adored you and they couldn't have asked for a better grandpa. You outdid yourself. Jesse is the man you have always wanted him to be and all he wants is to make you proud. I know you were proud of everything he has accomplished and everything he will continue to accomplish. He is the dad he is today because of the example you set for him. The light you brought into our lives will always shine through Jesse, Craig and all of the grandkids. The unconditional love you gave to Michele will be an example that I hope Alea and Adysen never forget, and always set their standards high because of it. I know you showed Jesse to love the way you loved Michele and I cannot express how much it means to me. We miss you so much down here, but I know you’re not in anymore pain. My uncle Dennis may have lived in another state but I do remember the times we visited. The last time I went to Arizona was when I was  around 16 we went and played laser tag and it was so much fun. You’re missed a lot. Thanks Uncle Dennis for being an amazing uncle. Love Miranda 

My Uncle Dennis and I. I have many fond memories of going down to Arizona.  His driving. Lol. We’ll leave it at that. Fishing. Adventures into the desert. Mexican food. And hot days spent in the pool in their backyard. Dennis is truly missed. He was the only uncle I ever felt truly cared about me. He loved his family deep. He always left messages on my stuff on FB. My boys love him dearly.   Save us a spot Dennis up there and watch over us. Love you always. 

Hard to believe Dennis is gone. Even though we did not see him often, we loved seeing his pictures & posts of his family and keeping in touch on Facebook.  My memories are different than those of my brothers’. I was 9 years younger than him and was pretty young when he entered the Air Force. What I remember is his trips home to visit and hearing his stories of life in the military and of his family that he loved dearly.  He would send gifts home from wherever he was which was always exciting , you never knew what would be in the box. When I was in junior High he sent me a pair of suede boots from Spain that were too big for me but I loved them. I still have them ..and they fit me now.  
It’s so unfair that he left us way too soon but, my hope is that he is watching over us all and that we will see him again someday .

It was an adventure growing up with you brother, I had the greatest of times being part of them and will never forget, but through all our time together, 
you were always there when I needed something, you were there to help fix my cars, stand up for me, be my best man and most of all my best friend. I will always 
have these great memories and times to cherish and I can't thank you enough for them. I know your time was short here with us, and you didn't get to all the 
things you wanted, but you have brought so much happiness, fun and love to those in your life. I know you were in pain when we last talked but you 
were doing your best to be strong, not for yourself, but for me and your family and friends just like you had done all your life. It is very hard to 
comprehend you have left us, and I still struggle with this reality, but the good thing is you are no longer in pain or suffering and can now rest in peace.  
I know you are up there in heaven watching out over family and friends keeping them safe.

Dennis, my sister Michele's husband, my brother in law! What an amazing man! He always loved my sister and his family!, He loved fishing! I remember going to Pineview fishing with him, he got a bite and jerked his line and the fish came out of the water and flew through the trees behind him! Boy did I laugh and laugh! We are all gonna miss him and it might take a while and that’s okay but he wouldn’t want us to be crying and down all the time. Because he’s still here and with us to this day.
