He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late Jerome and Jean (Selinger) Riddle.
David was a graduate of the Saranac Lake Guild, Lake Placid, New York. He had a 40-year career in the field of Nuclear Medicine. David was a devoted husband, father, son and brother. He was an accomplished woodworker, and an avid lover of history and politics. David was known for his quick wit, and his passion for rescuing animals.
David is survived by his brother John Riddle, sister Lois (Norm) Atkin; daughters, Natalie (Bill) Riddle Benner and Christine (Ken) Hicks; five grandchildren, Mary, Emily, Isabelle, Amanda and Nathan; many extended family members, and his beloved dog.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Lynne; his daughter Catherine; and five siblings.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 5-7PM with a rosary at 7PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 10:30AM at St. Helen Catholic Church, 5510 W. Cholla Street, Glendale. Burial will follow in Resthaven Park Cemetery.
