David John Gonzales, Sr.

He was born on October 31, 1958 in Phoenix to Leonides and Angie Gonzales.

David married Teresa Cota on February 12, 2001; they just celebrated their 20th Anniversary a few months prior to his passing.

He was an accomplished entrepreneur who enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles, camping and hunting. David played the piano and loved singing he also was a boxer.

David loved his family with all his heart. He is survived by his devoted wife Teresa, mother Angie, six children Corina Martinez, Crystal Gonzales, Vanessa Parot, Erika Gonzales, David J. Gonzales “JD” & Savannah Gonzales. David is also survived by eight siblings Susana, Art, Frank, Vince, Leo, Angie, Charlene & Jessie, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and his 2 dogs Busco & Lucas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonides, sister Rita & brother Fernando.

Family and friends are invited at a viewing on Monday, June 7, 2021 from 5-7PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale. A liturgy service will begin at 7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 10AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 909 E. Washington Street, Phoenix. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery, Glendale.
