After a courageous battle with cancer, Dave Harry Dougherty died peacefully on October 23, 2017 at Banner Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He lived in Columbia, Maryland and Woodstock Virginia before moving to Phoenix. He built and ran a successful pool cleaning business in Phoenix; he also invented an attachment that would make his work more efficient. He is fondly remembered as a great guy with a heart of gold, a wonderful brother, a noble gentleman, a gentle giant with a tremendous sense of humor, always able to make us laugh. He was thoughtful, quiet, and witty. A very generous, reliable, handsome Uncle. As a brother he would do acrobats with his sisters and let them hang out with the "boys club", he was adored by the sisters. His special food for Thanksgiving get togethers was to take deviled eggs, he would bring some to his sister's home and the girls waited eagerly! He is fondly remembered as handsome and tall, the nicest Uncle. He is remembered as responsible and kind. Dave is preceded in death by both parents and brothers, Robert Martin Dougherty (June 24, 1951- November 4, 2016) and Thomas James Dougherty (March 25, 1958- July 13, 1983).
