Catherine " Cathy" Shiffer was born in Baltimore, Maryland, February 16, 1935. She was the last child and daughter born to George and Myrtle Jones. She attended the Catholic High School of Baltimore. She married Coover Shiffer on June 23, 1962. After her first child, Steve, the family moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1963. Cathy attended John Hopkins University and ASU majoring in accounting. She is survived by her husband Coover, her two children, Steve and Barry and four grandchildren, Sarah, Courtney, Jourdan and Seth. She enjoyed camping with the boys during the summer which included traveling over the western United Stated and Canada. After retirement she continued to travel and camp with the two older granddaughters in the southwest. During the summer for a number of years she cared for the two younger grandchildren. Cathy was an outgoing redhead who enjoyed meeting people and making friends. Funeral Service will be held at Emmaus Lutheran Church, 3841 W. Sweetwater Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85029, Saturday, August 13th at 9 am.
