Rev. Wesley Melburn (Mel) Lantz, 83, formerly of Gladstone, MO, was called to Glory November 27, 2014. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2014 at White Chapel Funeral Home, Gladstone, MO. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 1st at North Kansas City Baptist Church, 2205 Iron, North Kansas City, MO. Burial will follow at East Slope Cemetery, Riverside, MO. Mel served the Lord faithfully as a Southern Baptist Pastor in Kentucky, Iowa and Missouri for over 45 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Belva Lantz, and sister, Marietta Lantz King. Survivors include his wife of over 61 years, Opal I. Rice Lantz; daughter, Suzanne; son, Stuart and wife, Kristia; grandchildren, Wesley, Michael and Elizabeth; and brother, Larry Lantz and wife, Alta.
