Thomas Eugene Long

Thomas Eugene Long was born on June 13, 1933 in Kansas City, Kansas to William and Greta Long. He graduated from Westport High School. Tom married Ethel Marie Stevens after honorable discharge from the Army in 1955. Tom began working for Safeway Foods as a warehouseman in 1955 also. Over 56 years, the couple had two children, Karen and Kevin. Karen and Kevin remember Tom as a kind and gentle father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Tom was a generous individual who loved to talk and encourage people.

Tom Long is preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Marie (in 2012).

Tom is survived by his children, Karen Porter (Doug) and Kevin Long, his 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, December 27, 2022 at White Chapel Funeral Home and Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri 64119.
