Tanner was born August 26, 2000 in Kansas City, Missouri to Donald Young and Jaimie (Willingham) Morrison.
Tanner graduated from Spring Hill High School in 2018, where he played on the high school soccer team. After high school Tanner joined the distribution teams with first Aldi then with Wal-Mart in Harrisonville, Missouri where he currently worked. Tanner looked forward to his evenings when he could join his best friends and others, gaming or playing golf.
Tanner was very close to his family, enjoying concerts, family dinners, and Chiefs games together. He looked forward to the family's Christmas tradition of the Mexican feast every year. Tanner was a loving, selfless person who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a person you could always count on. Tanner's smile and dimples could light up a room and he could always make you laugh.
Tanner was preceded in death by his father, Donald W. Young; paternal grandfather, William B. Young; paternal uncle, Dennis Young; and maternal grandmother, Sherry Willingham.
Survivors include his mother, Jaimie Morrison; his sister, Hope A. Young; niece, Olivia Starr; his sister, Alicia M. Young (Cole Lillich); maternal grandmother, Linda Careaga; maternal grandfather, James Willingham; his aunts, Stephanie Willingham, Melissa (Dawn Layman) Marmon, Renae Young and Stephanie (John) Seuferling; uncles, David Young and Craig (Jenny) Tennis; two longtime childhood friends, Stephen Lundy and Drew Zimmerman; along with many loving cousins and extended family.
