Sarah Jane Salmon

Sarah was born and raised in Kansas City, MO and lived in the Kansas City area her entire life. She attended East High School and graduated with the class of 1958.

Sarah married Alfred C. Salmon on May 22, 1959. They had two sons: Jeffrey and Steven. Sarah was a devoted wife and mother: always there, always available, always supportive. Her greatest love was her two sons. She was an excellent cook, a committed volunteer as a docent at the Folly Theater and engaged in many clubs and organizations in the local community. She was active in her church community, taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years, sang in the church choir, and served as church pianist.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents and her twin sister Nancy Ann Lindberg.

Sarah is survived by her husband of 63 years Alfred Salmon of Kansas City MO; her sons Jeffrey Salmon (Julie) of Kansas City MO and Steven Salmon of Liberty MO; her sisters Mary Shelton of Independence MO, Laura Coleman of Kansas City MO and Frances Harper (Dan) of Blue Springs MO; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A visitation for Sarah will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO 64119, followed by a memorial service from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
