He was born September 13, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Jack H. and Sylvia L. (Ball) Ellis. Bob graduated from North Kansas City High School with the Class of 1960. Bob attended Penn Valley Community College where he acquired an Associate’s Degree in Business/Computer programmer.
Bob loved his family, family holidays and vacations were a must, not once a year but every chance he could. Time was spent at the lake in Camdenton, Missouri between three family homes.
Bob's hobby was a traveling man; Florida for Daytona bike week, he loved motorcycle riding. Visiting Cancun, Mexico to eat, drink and have fun with family and his friends every February. Las Vegas was another spot as he loved to gamble. His favorite games were black jack, roulette and video poker. Bob also went to sea on many Norwegian cruises. For a short time Bob also owned a horse; Mr. High Socks in the Kentucky Derby.
Bob was an entrepreneur from an early age, he had many successful businesses throughout his lifetime. His love of motorcycles led him to open his first business; Kawasaki motorcycle shop. In addition, he had a liquor store in Liberty, Missouri, that prepared for the bars and restaurants he had opened over his years.
In the 80's, Bob opened a construction company that paved the way to being a developer in numerous sub divisions in the Northland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Sylvia Ellis; brother; Rollin (Ron) Ellis; sister-in-law, Jenifer Summers (Ellis); and aunt, Hazel Ford.
Bob is survived by his niece, Sherry (Ellis) Teer, (Terry) of Kansas City, Missouri;
Ashley Thompson, Rylee, Ryder and Ryssa Thompson, Kyle Thompson.

A visitation for Bob will be held from 11:00 am to Noon, August 14, 2024, at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, Missouri, with services starting at Noon, interment to following the White Chapel Cemetery.
