Born April 1, 1947, to Robert Earl, Sr. and Dortha Maxine (Twitty) Burlington, Robert graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1965 followed by service in the United States Army through 1968. He then worked in the wholesale lumber business until his retirement in 2007.
Robert was married to Mary Kay for 34 years and they shared 8 children, 22 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren, including: Son, Randy Burlington (Kimi) and grandchildren, Jacob and Heather Phelps; Daughter, Kimberly Podbevsek and grandchildren, Austin and Amanda; Son, Rusty Burlington (Tami) and grandchildren, Brock and Emily; Son, Ryan Burlington; Son, Craig Hall (predeceased) and grandchild, Brandi Gander (Kristopher) and great-grandchild, Caleb, and grandchild, Brad Hall and great-grandchildren, Conner and Charlotte; Son, Darren Hall (Amy), grandchild, Tiffany Gennusa (Mark) and great-grandchildren, Tano, Vinny, and Santino; grandchild, Trent Hall (Hayley) and great-grandchildren, Conley, Cambree, and Logen; grandchild, Chad Hall (Shelby) and great-grandchildren, Hudson and Matty; grandchild, Danielle Hall (Reid Simpson) and great-grandchild, Izaiah; grandchild, Rachel Westram (Tobias) and great-grandchild, Jace; grandchild, Katelyn Blansett (Dalton) and great-grandchild, Aiden; and grandchild, Will Watson; Son, Todd Hall (Cristina) and grandchildren, Nathan (Sierra), Travis (Emily), and Kerry Hall, and Adriana Lund; Son, Tony Hall (Suzanne) and grandchild, Chad Knight (Holli) and great-grandchildren Avery and Olivia, and grandchild, Katie Knight, and grandchildren, Cody and Caden Hall; Daughter-Niece, Shari French (Joe) and grandchild, Bill.
Robert is also survived by his siblings, Ray (Melody) and their children, Ronda Boustead (Craig) and Jeremy Burlington (predeceased); Roy (Karla-predeceased); and Dianna Shaw (Pat-predeceased), and daughters, Janette Cheek (Wade) and Brandie Cook (Jason); and many other nieces and nephews across the United States.
