Born July 30,1988 in Salt Lake City, Utah and Died September 9, 2024, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Always a wonderful student, Richard Glenn Morris graduated from American High School at age 14. Richard achieved his associate’s degree from the University of Maryland University College in Computer Science at age 16 while working summers as a computer tech for the military base in Bad Aibling, Germany. Then, Richard earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Information Systems at age 18.
Following his two-year service as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Wisconsin, Richard attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he graduated in 2013 with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science with an emphasis in Artificial Intelligence. Following his graduation, he began working for Geico’s headquarters as a computer specialist in Washington, DC. He worked in the computer field for two years until his Crohn’s disease became debilitating.
Richard is survived by his parents, Rod and Deborah Morris of Kansas City, Missouri; his sister Ruth Ann Lingwall of Salt Lake City, Utah; his sister Jennifer Nixon of Tampa, Florida; and his sister Robyn Fonrose of Kansas City, Missouri. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews.
