Rex L. Teague, 76, of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on May 31, 2016. Rex was born December 16, 1939 to Woodrow and Kathryn (Brookshire) Teague. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Max Teague. Survivors include his wife, Diana (Schulte) Teague; sister, Andrea (Gary) Marsh; son, Christopher (Darlene) Teague; daughter, Ceve Teague (Aaron Stockwell); grandson, Carson Teague and granddaughter, Mackenzie Beadle. A celebration of Rex’s life will start at 12:30 pm Saturday, June 11th, with a gathering to follow until 2:30 pm at White Chapel Funeral Home, Gladstone, MO. The family requests casual dress for Rex’s celebration. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial gifts in Rex’s name to Crossroads Hospice Charitable Foundation (crhcf.org) or KU Cancer Center (kucancercenter.org/give) Rex was raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Central High School in 1958. A year after graduating high school, he married his high school sweetheart, Diana Schulte (Teague), on July 3rd, 1959. They were married for fifty-six years. Rex and Diana loved to travel. Some of their most memorable destinations included Europe, Alaska and Ireland. Their most favorite and cherished location was Kauai, Hawaii. Rex worked for several advertising agencies throughout his career. He was Vice President of Print Production for Brewer Advertising. He retired from Bernstein/Rein advertising. He was a board member of the Printing House Craftsman’s Club. Rex was a man who loved life to the fullest. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was generous, funny, a good story teller and rarely met a person that wasn’t considered an instant friend. In addition to traveling with his wife, Rex enjoyed hunting and playing golf. As a member of the Game Cocks Hunting Club, he traveled yearly to Lebanon, South Dakota for pheasant hunting. He was also a member of a senior golf league. His biggest thrill was a hole-in-one at Teetering Rocks -121 yards with an 8-iron! Rex was a great husband, father and grandfather. He was/is loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
