Norma was born in Taney County, Missouri on March 20, 1940, to Ronald Earl and Gladys Lorine (Jones) Ward. She attended Reed Springs High School. On December 29, 1956, she married Billy Davis, and they would start a journey together that would include traveling and camping, living in Arizona during the winter months. When Norma first arrived in the KC area, she worked in a jewelry store and later in life she owned numerous properties where she got to know her tenants and loved them like family. Norma was a long-time member of Liberty Church of the Nazarene where she lovingly taught Sunday school for kindergartener’s.
She was an avid fan and sports enthusiast, especially for the Kansas City Royals, the Kansas City Chiefs, and MU sports.
Being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was her most important role she could have.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy; and her sister, Geraldine Burk.
Survivors include her two daughters, Candace Gorman and Tonya Lautenschlager and her husband, Christopher; sisters, Donna Browning and her husband, Chuck, Charlotte Jones and her husband, Wes, grandchildren, Jeremy Lafferty and his wife, Stephanie, Alexis Gorman, Caleb Lautenschlager and his wife, Amy, Olivia Gorman, Joshua Lautenschlager; and great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Lafferty and Collin Lafferty.
