Maudie Lee Smith, 92, of Gladstone, MO, passed away March 9, 2015, at home with her family by her side. Funeral service will be 11am, Friday, March 13, 2015 at White Chapel Funeral Home. Burial to follow at East Slope Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8pm, Thursday, March 12, 2015, at the funeral home. Maudie was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Ida Bates; 3 sisters, Lena Fivecoat, Sally Higgins, and Eva Streit; husband, Oather Smith; and son, Oather W. Smith, Jr. Survivors include 3 daughters, Wanda DeLuca of Weatherby Lake, MO, Joyce Jackson of Kansas City, MO, and Ida Allen and husband, Orlin of Lake of the Ozarks, MO; 8 grandchildren, Sandra Gover, Twyla Smith and Oather Smith, III, Randy and Rhonda Jackson, and Jason, Angela and Rodney Allen. She also leaves 10 great-grandchildren and 10 great- great-grandchildren.
