Margaret Julia Borland

Margaret was born on August 12th, 1929 in Parkville, MO to Adolph & Julia Strobbe. This farm girl was the eldest of 5 daughters and graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1947. Margaret married her high school sweetheart Jim Langhus and gave birth to their son, Lars. Unfortunately, Jim was taken away much too soon. Later, she married Russell Borland and they had two children, Curt and Jayne. Margaret was a loving homemaker while raising her three children. She was happily married to Russ for 37 years and they loved spending time at the lake. As their children grew older, she became much more involved in operating North Kansas City Beverage. After the death of Russell, Margaret took over as CEO. She spent her golden years with Ray Early. They spent a lot of time with family and friends and enjoyed travelling together.

She is preceded in death by spouse Jim Langhus; spouse Russell Borland; son Curt Borland; granddaughter Megan Langhus; sisters Germaine Turner, Betty Lowe, Eileen Shearer; and companion Ray Early.

Margaret is survived by her children Lars Langhus (Kathy), Jayne Johnson; her grandchildren Matt Langhus (Tanya), Tracey Langhus (Shelly), Chad Borland (Tracy), Cali Borland, Kristopher Johnson (Laura), and Timothy Johnson (Witney); and 11 great-grandchildren.

Margaret will forever be known for her loving smile and her gracious heart. She had a relentless spirit and her generosity and countless charitable contributions helped shape and change so many lives. Her family was the most important thing to her, and she will be missed dearly. We love you MB may you rest in peace.
