Lillian Joan Ayers

Lillian was born on March 30, 1934, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada to John William Myers of Leeds, England, and Elizabeth (Thomson) Myers of Ayr, Scotland. She moved to the United States in 1960, settling in Kansas City.

Lillian lived a full life enjoying especially barbecue, volunteering, canoeing, cross-country skiing, hockey games, camping, and spending time with family and friends in the US and Canada. She was a loving mother to her children from her marriage with Donald W. Ayers and delighted in her grandchildren, who all survive her: D. Stephen Ayers (Carolyn) of Cedar Falls, IA, and Karen Elizabeth Canon (Timothy) of Platte City, MO, and their children: Robyn Jessica Ayers, Alexander Stephen Ayers, and Chrisanne Elizabeth Ayers of New York City; Zane Grey Canon, Ian Timothy Canon, Evan Daniel Canon, Elizabeth Joann Canon and Katherine Jayne Canon of Platte City, MO.

Lillian is predeceased by her parents; her siblings (Alexander Myers, Fred Myers, Mary Elizabeth Bennion, and Dorothy Steadman); and her nephew and niece, (Frank Myers and Barbara Myers).

The family would like to thank The Gardens at Barry Road and Ascend Hospice for their loving care.

A graveside ceremony will take place at an undetermined date at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in London, Ontario
