Lawrence "Larry" Earl Stumph, Sr., died peacefully on July 8, 2015 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born in Oakland, California to Daisy and Stan Stumph. He enjoyed traveling with family and friends, often flying his own plane or driving cross-country in his RV. Larry was a faithful fan of our Kansas City Chiefs, helping our team to break the world record for loudest stadium in the NFL. He owned and operated CMC Trenching, contracting to bury fiber optic cable for AT&T for many years. Larry also proudly served on his town board and as water commissioner for the Village of Birmingham. Larry will be missed by his wife, Cheryl, of 39 years; his children, Larry Jr. (Rochelle), Curtis, Leah, Chris, and Megan, as well as his siblings, grandchildren, and other loved ones. Service 11:00am Tuesday July 14, 2015 White Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friend from 6:00 to 8:00pm Monday at the funeral home. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
