I have been in a nursing rehab due to a broken femur and just heard about this.  So sorry. Janeane and Buddy were good friends and we graduated together at NKCHS, My prayers are with you.

My family just heard about Ms. Morford's passing a few days ago.  We were all saddened to hear the news. We had visited with her in June at my daughter's graduation party. All three of my children were blessed to have her as a teacher at Mill Creek MS. She was such a dedicated and caring teacher and touched each of us with her outgoing personality.

I worked with Laura for 9 years at two different schools.  She always looked amazing.  She was so proud of her children and grandchildren.  There are so many things that I will miss about Laura.  I am happy that not only I had the pleasure of working with her, but also to have her as friend.

I am so sorry.  Mrs. Morford (as she was known to our family) taught both my boys at Mill Creek Middle School.  I remember very kind hand--written notes that she took the time to write to us to communicate traits she wanted to commend.  We appreciated the attention she gave to her students.  Many sympathies to you as you travel this journey of grief.

I am so sorry to hear of Laura's passing.  I first met her at the De Soto Invocation at the start of the first school year she taught in the district.  She was one sharp woman and will be missed!

I have known Laura most of my life !  We both went to the same church, schools and our parents were close friends ! She was so much like her mother, with her smiles and love for everyone she met and knew ! Laura was one of the most giving persons I have ever had the pleasure of knowing ! She constantly gave of herself and of her talents at both church and through school . She also played a big part in our recent high school reunion, number 45 !  My heart was broken, when I heard of her death. Although with her Christian faith, I know Jesus, her family and others were there in Heaven greeting her with open arms ! My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends !

Laura was such a classy lady, I admired her so much and was so glad to be able to know her. She was a loving mother, grandma and niece - she will be missed by so many. I am so sorry.

We are so sorry for the family's loss in Laura's sudden passing. We will remember our long talks about what we were teaching and things she had discovered to share with her classes about Kansas History. We shared a passion for teaching and when we got to talking about what we were teaching, we could go on and on. We will probably never see a pretty black and white outfit in the future without fond memories of her. We cherish her visits to our home in Texas with her Grandkids in the summertime, and hope my niece and nephew and great nieces and nephews (And Gma's grand and great grandchildren) will keep up the tradition when possible. Our sadness is softened a bit by picturing her see her Mom, Dad, and brother in heaven.

I was in Mrs. Morford's social studies class in 7th grade and one day I got her to do the whip and ne ne dance with us!  She cracked up afterwards.  Rest in peace and prayers to your family.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I worked with Laura for 10 years and two schools in De Soto School District. She had a great, ribald sense of humor and I got to hear great stories about her family. I particularly remember her talking about going to Home Goods with her grandson and checking out the nutcrackers. She was already missed at Mill Creek, now it's even more profound. I'm so sorry to hear about this. This absolutely devastates me, she was my 7th grade social studies teacher. She was like a mom to me. She was there for me when my parents got divorced, when my grandpa died I always knew I could talk to her if I ever needed it. She shared personal stories with me and called me a "fashion diva." I loved her very very much and I'm so glad I got to be a part of her life. I will miss her terribly. She always put a smile on my face and always made me laugh. Her smile was the cutest thing in the room. She had such a big heart and soul. God bless her soul.:)
