She was a beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to all that were lucky enough to be with her in her 73 years.
Judy viewed the world with clear eyed humility and kindness, graciously giving money, gifts and time with an open heart. She loved to knit beautiful creations, give beautifully decorated holiday dinners and cook lovely meals.
She was married to her soulmate, Charles Robertson, for 40 years. Together they spent time traveling to Europe, Spain, Italy, France and loved cruising the Caribbean, Mexican Riviera and Panama Canal.
Judy owned Grandma's House Daycare in Gladstone, Missouri for 20 years. Her love and devotion to children awarded her daycare as the second best in Kansas City for years.
She had two sons Todd and Jason whom she adored, three grandchildren and another soon to be fourth grandchild, a baby girl, who will proudly be the first in the Robertson lineage. Sadly, Judy struggled with health the last five years and finally a serious and unfortunate infection led to sepsis which took her life.
She is now sitting in Heaven with her beloved Charlie, Todd, Dad and Mom. Her family is certain that Judy is enjoying the most delicious meal: her mom's famous homegrown tomatoes.
Judy is survived by her son Jason and his wife Betty Robertson; grand children Archie Michael Robertson (grandson), Jacob Robertson, (grandson), Tyler Robertson (grandson); brother Edward and wife his Glenda Hamer; sister Charlotte Smith-Baca; beloved cousin Sharon Stanger; and closest friend Zona Duncan. Also numerous nephews, nieces and dear friends, too many to mention.
For those of us who knew and loved her she graced our lives.
A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held from 1:00 -2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 27 with a Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00 pm at White Chapel Funeral Home 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri. Judy will then be taken for a graveside service at White Chapel Cemetery. Following the graveside service, friends and family are cordially invited to gather for a reception with food and beverage at White Chapel Funeral Home.
