He was born on August 30, 1945, in Valparaiso, Zacatecas, Mexico, the son of Jesus and Maria Cabral.
He married his wife, Maria Alicia Garcia, on November 30, 1966 in Hayward, California. They had five children in California and then moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1984 and have resided here since. He retired from General Motors and Ozark Automotive. He enjoyed making carne asadas for his family and playing cards. He enjoyed watching baseball, coaching his kids in California, and was an avid fan of the Oakland A’s.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Cabral Banuelos, Maria Diaz, and his grandson, Frankie Vargas III.
Juan is survived by his wife, Maria Alicia Cabral. His five children and spouses: Sandra Cabral of Overland Park, Kansas; Carlos and Ramonita Cabral of Chicago, Illinois; Jesus and Isela Cabral of Olathe, Kansas; Sonia Gonzales of Kansas City, Missouri. Claudia and Bonifacio Villegas of Kansas City, Missouri; eight grandchildren, J. Carlos Cabral, Marina Cabral, Adriana Villegas, Isela Cabral, Briana Villegas, Louis Williams IV, Nicolas Cabral, and Mili Villegas; and one great grandchild, Guillermina Vargas.
A Rosary Service for Juan will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 from 5:30 PM to 5:45 PM at Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri, 64119. A visitation will occur Friday, January 26, 2024 from 5:45 PM to 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.
A Funeral Mass will occur Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 11:00 AM at Saint Anthony Parish, 309 Benton, Kansas City, Missouri, 64124. A graveside service will occur following the Mass at the White Chapel Funeral Cemetery.
