She was born March 31, 1942, in Carthage, Missouri, the daughter of Claude and Bertha (McFarland) Yocam. Joyce graduated in 1961, from Granby High School in Granby, Missouri.
Joyce married Leonard D. Godfrey on August 12, 1962. She then met Greg Ford and they were married on August 31, 1989
Joyce loved spending time with her family and going on road trips with her daughter, Stacey. She loved to watch the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals at home with her loyal companion, Salvey, the cat. She loved to laugh and have fun and was always up for a good adventure. Joyce was a woman of faith who fully accepted God’s plan for her and looked forward to the time she would be reunited with her husband, Greg Ford.
She was preceded in death by parents, Claude and Bertha Yocam; and husband, Greg Ford.
Joyce is survived by her children, Terry Godfrey and his wife Terri of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Stacey Haralson and her husband Jeff of Kansas City, Missouri; Greg Ford Jr. and wife Amber of Sunrise Beach, Missouri.
Visitation for Joyce will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at the White Chapel Reception Room, at 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, Missouri, 64119. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM in the reception room. A private inurnment will be held following the service.
