She was born August 25, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Gene and Opal (Davis) Quinzon.
Jolene graduated from Redemptorist High School with the Class of 1959. She married William Ballard, this union was blessed with two sons. Jolene married Joseph Hayes on November 25, 1987, where she believed she had truly met the love of her life.
She worked as Director of Sales and Catering for Service America, became self employed and retired from North Kansas City Hospital.
She enjoyed all her animals and had an unconditional love for her many dogs to llamas. She loved her football, GO Chiefs! & “Them” Royals, and pretty well most of the sports, she was more like one of the boys! Her true passion was dancing… and singing too. She loved being around friends, most importantly her family. One of the best hostesses of a party, she was truly a servant of God in the amount she was able to give. Jolene was the light in every room in which she passed through. Her love for the Lord will forever stand true.
Jolene was preceded in death by both of her parents and husband Joe Hayes.
She is survived by her two sons, William Ballard II and Richard Ballard; Grandchildren, Daniel Ballard, William Ballard III, Hannah Ballard, Nathan Ballard, Psalm Ballard, and Sydney Ballard; Great Grandchildren, Easton Whaley, Emma Whaley, Leah Ballard, and Pierce Batson.
Jolene would always say, "Blessed is what I am with my sons, grand/great grandchildren, and many loving, past and present friends."
A visitation for Jolene will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, with funeral services starting at 2PM, followed by interment in the White Chapel Cemetery.
