John was born on September 24, 1923 in Muscogee, OK. He was a World War II Army veteran and served in the Philippines. He retired from the USPS in 1987.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie. He is survived by his two sons, John Michael of the home, and Brad (Janet) Kirkman, of Shawnee Mission, KS; his nephews, Jerry Williams of Fairgrove, MO, Tony Ford or Marshfield, MO, and Andy (Brenda) Ford of Clinton, MO; and special friends Ken and Leigh Marx of Pleasant Valley, MO. John was well loved by anyone and everyone who ever had the fortune of meeting him.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025 in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at D.W. Newcomer's Sons White Chapel Funeral Home, in the reception room.
