He was born September 16, 1939, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Harold A. and Alice (Stockton) Tracy. Jerry graduated from Southport High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He then enlisted in the United States Navy in 1958 serving for six years, including reserve service.
Jerry retired in 2005 from Handtmann in Chicago, Illinois and moved with his wife, Marcie, back to Kansas City to be around their children and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing with his son and grandsons and watching the grandkids and then the great grandkids participate in sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Alice Tracy; his wife, Marcie Tracy and his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Linda Tracy.
Jerry is survived by his son, Don (Melanie) Richwine; two daughters, Jean Ann (Lynn) Hart and Jackie Richwine. He is Grandpa to Jake (Alexandria) Hart, Annie (Steve) Cheney, Kyle Richwine and Dylan Richwine. Great Grandpa to Dax and Reese Hart and Stevie Cheney. All of the Kansas City area. And niece Lori Tracy and nephew Jeff Tracy and family in Indiana.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening, January 15, 2024, at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, Missouri, 64119. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM, with burial to follow in White Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Heart Association.
