Jim was born to Albert N and Virginia Mayes Moore.
Jim was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Platte Woods, Mo. Jim was retired but prior to retirement he was a Journeyman Inside Wireman. He apprenticed and worked out of Local Union #124 IBEW. He enjoyed watching the Royals and the Chiefs along with all sport shows and would marathon watch car shows.
Jim is survived by his wife, Susan; sons, Michael (wife, Kim) Allen, of Olathe, Kansas & Bryan (wife, Shawn) Andrew, of Kansas City. Grandsons, Spencer of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Tucker and wife Sivan of Tacoma, Washington, Noah, and Sam of Olathe, Kansas. Step-Granddaughters, Peyton, Courtney, Haley, and Jessica of Kansas City. Sisters, Mary Hattie and husband James Orvis of Edmonds, Washington, Anna Marie and husband Howard Anthes of Chesterfield, MO, and Lindia Jane Jackson, of Mission, Kansas. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Albert; his mother, Virginia; his brother-in-law, David Jackson; and his nephew, Ben Jackson.
