Jack R. Kirkland, 70, of Lawson, MO passed away October 25, 2015. Jack was born March 14, 1945 in Dawt, MO to Charles and Chloe (Watts) Kirkland. He was a veteran of Vietnam War where served as a Chief Construction Engineer in the 554th Engineer Battalion. Jack worked as a draftsman and shop foreman at Builders Steel, Worked for a Foundry Equipment company as Shop Foreman and an Auctioneer for 43 years. He was a member of the Lawson VFW 6278 and McMurry United Methodist Church. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Joyce Herbold Kirkland; brothers Dale, Charles, Jr and Tome Kirkland. Survivors include wife Barbara (Sitter) Carroll-Kirkland and his beloved Yorkie, Molly of the home. Brother Bob (Cindy) and Kenny (Mary Ruth) Kirkland; sister in laws Nancy and Joyce Kirkland; brother in law Leslie Hicks and numerous nieces and nephews. Service 1:00pm Thursday White Chapel Funeral Home. Interment Lawson Cemetery Lawson, MO. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
