Glenn Junior Hedgpeth of Cameron, Missouri (formerly of Liberty), passed away January 27, 2021 at the home. He was born December 16, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri. Junior retired in 1999 from Clay County, Missouri Highway Department. He was ornery and you never knew what he was going to say or do. He enjoyed fishing, camping and playing cards. Junior loved kids, especially his grandkids and great grandkids. He never met a stranger and liked to visit with family and friends. Junior will be dearly missed.
Preceding him in death were his parents William Glen and Anna (Hoch) Hedgpeth, an infant son Jerry Hedgpeth, and a sister Emma Jean (Hedgpeth) Ewing.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Anna Rose (Smith) Hedgpeth of the home, four sons Mike (Nancy) Hedgpeth, LaMonte, MO; Terry (Robyn) Hedgpeth, Sweet Springs, MO; Anthony (Loretta) Hedgpeth, Excelsior Springs, MO, and Leslie (Sandy) Hedgpeth, St. Joseph, MO and a daughter Glenda (Vincent) Kieff of Kansas City, MO, two brothers Gerald (Linda) Hedgpeth, Pleasant Hill, MO and Thomas (Jan Miller) Hedgpeth, Lee’s Summit, MO and one sister Joyce Charles, Clinton, MO. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Chandler Baptist
Church, Liberty, MO with burial at White Chapel Gardens, Gladstone, MO. Arrangements by Newcomers White Chapel Funeral Home of Gladstone.
