peacefully passed away on June 28, 2024. She was loved by everyone she crossed paths with and was THE BEST sister, aunt, cousin, niece, daughter, friend and co-worker and would literally give the shirt off of her back for anyone in her life.
Gina graduated from Winnetonka High School in 1979. Gina dedicated herself to a lifelong career in property management, starting with Shryock Realty and Prism then most recently Home River Group and Trailhead Management. Her passion and commitment were evident to all who had the privilege of working with her over the years. Beyond her personal life, Gina’s joys in life came from her role as a caring sister to her brother Mark Duncan, sister in law Janelle and the greatest aunt ever to Tyler and Alyssa Duncan. She was also the best friend and co-worker to many and one of the most beloved cousins in the large Duncan family. Gina selflessly took care of her parents for an extended time when their bodies grew weak with age.
Gina also courageously battled thyroid cancer then a cancer called Multiple Myeloma about 16 years ago and defeated it into remission. Bold and brave would be a huge understatement. She was simply a beautiful soul who always selflessly put others needs first and foremost before her own.
Gina was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Oliver S. and Donna M. Duncan, of Kansas City.
She is survived by her brother Mark O. Duncan, sister-in-law Janelle Duncan and niece and nephew, Alyssa and Tyler Duncan. She took great pride in being “Aunt Gina” to Alyssa and Tyler and loved her family and friends deeply. She also loved being an excellent “Cat mom” to her cats, Oscar and Bell.
In remembrance of Gina Marie Duncan, let us honor a life marked by compassion, loyalty, laughter, and a steadfast devotion to everyone she held dear. Her presence will be greatly missed and her memory cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. To keep her memory alive, the family asks that donations be made in Gina's honor to "ONE CARES," a foundation with a fund set up for her brother who is fighting Kidney Cancer.
Family asks that all flowers be sent directly to White Chapel Funeral Home for services.
