Frank was born on July 28, 1938, to John and Mary Wilburn of Atchison, Kansas. Frank entered the US Navy and served proudly aboard the USS Oriskany and was honorably discharged in 1963. On June 29, 1964, he married the love of his life Linda K. Shockley and together they raised their 3 sons. He spent many of his years coaching little league football and baseball, square dancing with friends and in later years he followed his grandchildren in their many athletic activities.
Frank worked 24 years for Kenworth Assembly Plant as a welder then in final assembly before the plant closed in 1986. He moved on to North Kansas City School District working in the warehouse on the "pony route" retiring in 2003. Frank did not slow down as he continued to stay busy, by working at the car wash, going to breakfast and lunch to McDonald’s with his friends, attending many car shows and would never pass up playing a good game of cards with family and friends. Over the last 30 years, Frank enjoyed collecting over 6,000+ Hot Wheels.
Frank took great pride in each vehicle he owned with his favorite being the super clean, black Harley-Davidson Truck.
