She was one of my favorite Sunday School and Primary teachers.  She has re turned to her husband Bob, where I am sure he continues to sing "The Mule Skinner Blues" to those who can't get enough, just as we could never get enough of hearing him sing it  when he was still with us.

She was one of the dearest ladies I have ever met. I thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent as visiting teaching companions years ago & will always think fondly of her. My condolences to the family, you all will always be special to me.

Grandma, I am so happy for you to be reunited with grandpa and my dad but I am also so sad because I have wanted to sit and talk to you and learn of you and your life and grandpa's too.  Now who is there to help me learn of these things? I have loved you so much and truly wish I had had the opportunity to really know you like everyone else had. Please, be with me in my search for my ancestors so I may learn of your life and theirs. Please, give Grandpa, my Dad and Grandma Street big hugs and kisses for me I miss them terribly. When we moved to Kansas City, many members at church were so excited because Bob and Madrene Moore were returning from their mission.  Once we met them, we found out just what special people they were.  Madrene was always pleasant and such a lady and quite a wonderful person--she always made others feel good.  Madrene must be so happy to be reunited with Bob.  We count it a blessing and a privilege to have known both of them.  Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Madrene worked with my sister at National Bellas Hess back in the early '60s. She invited my sister to go to church with her, "lots of cute boys" she said. My sister didn't want to go by herself so she asked me to go with her. I told her I would but she would have to wear a pink dress just like me or I wouldn't go.  The Moore's came early that Sunday morning to pick us up in a big station wagon. I got to sit in the rear seat that faced backward sitting with a bunch of kids! And I mean a big bunch! We traveled what seemed forever and finally turned down a gravel road. We came to a small white church and went inside. We sat down with Madrene, her husband and all of those kids! My memories of this growing up was remembering  all of the very tall men all dressed in black suits, people getting up, talking and a lot of "amens" and the enormous amount of kids that were at the church!  My sister and I never went back there, but Madrene had planted a seed that she probably didn't even know about. Twenty years later  my husband and I joined that church!  It's now been thirty five years, six children, three missionaries and five Temple marriages since we joined. I would say Madrene was a very successful missionary for Jesus Christ!!

RIP Madrene.  I'm so sorry to hear this but know she is now united with her forever Bob and Barry.  Sending love and sympathy to all the family.  Not only was she a wonderful person, but had wonderful children as a legacy.

I remember Madrene from my childhood, she was always very kind and smiling. My condolences to the family.

I enjoyed being with her and her husband in their big garden and Br Moore playing the guitar.

For all my Cousin's and friends that knew this grand Lady, may the Lord bless you and send the comforter to be with you and each of us a we celebrate Aunt Madrene's reunion with Uncle Bob and all her brothers and sisters. I am so thankful for the knowledge of Heavenly Fathers plan for us.  I love you all.

Sonja and I have such good memories with Madrene and Bob.  Many hours working together at the "Jello Factory" in independence, ward parties and always welcome in their home.  As their Bishop I helped them on their mission.  Their mission president sent me a letter, "send me more Moore's they are the greatest.  My life is far better for having known and loved Madrene Moore she will be missed for this time. John & Sonja Olsen
