Dorothy “Dottie” Clapper, 88, of Kansas City, MO passed away October 7, 2014, peacefully at her home. She was born in Kansas City, KS on June 23, 1926, to Frank and Ida Wilson. She was a 1944 graduate of Rosedale High School. Dorothy retired from NKC Hospital after 22 years of service. She was the benefits administrator in the HR Department. Dorothy was an active member of the NKC First Christian Church, the Sheppard Center, and the Red Hat Society. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Charles L. Clapper; son, Larry R. Clapper; and daughter, Judy I. Birmingham. Survivors include her 2 sons, John (Terry) and Greg Clapper; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 1 due in December. Services are set for 11 AM, Monday, October 13, 2014 at White Chapel Funeral Home with burial at Maple Hill Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from at 10-11 AM at the funeral home.
