Donnie J. Strickland, 56, of Kansas City, MO, passed away July 13, 2014. Visitation will be 6-8pm, Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Northland Cathedral, 101 NW 99th, Kansas City, MO 64155. A Celebration of Life will be held 11am, Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Northland Cathedral. Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Louise Strickland. Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Carla Strickland, of the home; 3 sons, Danny Strickland and wife Leslie, Chris Strickland, and Carl Strickland, all of Kansas City, MO; grandchild, Joe Strickland; brothers, David Strickland (Vickey) and Dennis Strickland; and sister, Dianne Leach (Jon). Donnie worked at Axel Americas, formerly Jesco Resources. He was a member and worked 28 years at Northland Cathedral and was a leader in the Royal Rangers for 20 years, at the church. He will be missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help with funeral costs.
