Diana Sue Simmons

Diana Sue Simmons (Marks), 77, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2022. Diana was born on July 29, 1944 in North Kansas City, Missouri to John and Velma Marks. Diana was the seventh of 10 children. She graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1962. She retired from Gilmour in Excelsior Springs and started a second career as a Financial Aid Assistant at Kansas City University until 2014.

Diana lived life to the fullest. Her life was filled with joy, laughter, lots of love and adventure. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas, going to the casinos in Kansas City and spending time with the family and friends. Diana was friendly to everyone she met, she never knew a stranger.

She is preceded in death by, father, John Marks, mother, Velma Marks, sisters, Dorothy Sizemore (Sid), Rosemary Parker, Betty Moore, Ellen Gibson (Eddie) and brother, Richard “Dicky” Marks.

She is survived by her daughters, Shannon Reynolds, Kelly Powell (Leroy), grandsons, Brett Reynolds, Derek Reynolds, sisters, Christine Britton (Andy) and Debby Marks, brothers, Cecil Marks and Carl Marks (Sue).
