He was born on August 29, 1938 in Kearney, Missouri to parents David and Jewell Warren. He graduated from Kearney High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Navy and served for three years. David married Barbara in June of 1994. The couple blended their families and had a total of five children. His children remember him as a hard working and supportive husband and father. David enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, playing pool, darts and drinking beer. He and Barbara liked donating to the casinos, playing bingo, watching the Chiefs and Yellowstone. He was a jack of all trades, ranging from a talented electrician to bar owner and accomplished contractor. A generous, quick witted individual, he was always helping others. Most of all, he loved his family.
David was a member of The Elks Club and American Legion.
He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Warren and son Marty Warren.
David is survived by daughter Teresa (Marion "Outlaw") Cox, step-daughter Sharolyn (Chris) VanHorn, step-daughter Carolyn Bailey, step-son John "Tater" (Kelly) Blankenship, sister Juanita Filley, brother Ernie (Verba) Warren, brother Larry Warren, twelve grandkids and fourteen great grandkids.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
A Visitation for David will be held Friday, February 17, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM with a Loving Remembrance will begin at 1:00 PM, with a Committal Service to follow all at White Chapel Funeral Home and Cemetery 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri, 64119.
