Darrell Dean Anderson, age 95, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023 at his home. He was born February 3, 1928, in Mound City, Missouri, the son of Harold A. and Eva Marie (Ross) Anderson.
He entered the United States Air Force in 1947 and was Honorably Discharged as a “Sergeant” in 1951.
Darrell married Barbara L. Boner on June 14, 1952. He installed ductwork and furnaces in new homes for 40 years.
His grandchildren remember him as a faithful, active, devoted, and loving grandfather that was always joking and encouraging them. Darrell was a dedicated individual who loved his family and who was passionate about his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was dedicated to activities for his children and grandchildren. Darrell was a master of all trades and a Mr. Fixit, always puttering around and finding things to make better. He was an active volunteer at his local church throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Eva Marie (Ross) Anderson; and one sister, Mary Lou Ferrero.
Darrell is survived by his wife Barbara; two brothers and two sisters; one son, Clifford Anderson, daughters, Gayle DeShon and Brenda Ferrara; 10 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
A visitation for Darrell will be held Monday, June 19, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, Missouri, 64119, with the funeral service starting at 1PM. A graveside service will follow the service at East Slope Cemetery, 5011 NW Gateway Ave., Kansas City, Missouri, 64150.
Serving as pallbearers are Dorian DeShon, Oliver WIll, Presley Huxtable, Ryan DeShon, Matthew Larson, Michael Larson, Luke Larson, Isaac Pierce, Anderson Pellham, Thatcher Will, Sebastian Will, Bentley Clauson and Asa Devajon.
