Daniel was born on July 16, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri to Louis H. Hanrion, Jr. and Georgie E. Tatham. Daniel graduated from Missouri School for the Deaf in 1969. While living in the Olathe, Kansas area, Daniel was a loved and accomplished teacher at Kansas School for the Deaf. During this time, Daniel became a father to Natalie, Nicole, and Lauren—three daughters who adopted their father’s appreciation for creativity and the fine arts. Daniel was a talented photographer and artist who often displayed his work at local events and was commissioned for public and private projects. Following his career in education, Daniel continued his interest in print and photography as a Digital Copy Operator.
Daniel is survived by his siblings, Mark (Jessica) Hanrion, Matthew (Marge) Hanrion, and Rebekah (Mike) McCarter; as well as his three daughters, Natalie Hanrion, Lauren Haberman, and Nicole Newton; several nieces and nephews who loved him very much, and his great friend and supervisor, Erica.
In addition to flowers at White Chapel Cemetery in Gladstone, Missouri, memorial donations may be sent to the Kansas School for the Deaf, where Daniel passionately taught graphic arts and communications.
