

Chris was born on December 29, 1983, in Perryville, Mo. After his birth, his parents traveled back to Oahu, Kaneohe Bay Marine Corps Air Station. Chris stayed in Oahu for one year before making Kansas City, KS, his hometown. Chris attended J.C. Harmon, where he sang in the choir, played football, wrestled, and made lifelong memories. Chris was currently working on getting his associate degree at Arizona State University.
Chris worked for Magna Seating in Excelsior Springs as an assembly line worker. Chris enjoyed advocating for his union brothers and sisters. He enjoyed sharing life with co-workers on the line and offering advice when he could. Chris was a man of many talents. In his younger years, he and his father ran a gaming business named Extreme LanKC. They were the largest gaming group in the KC area. Chris and his friend also worked together in the locksmith industry, and Chris became a very skilled locksmith.
In Chris's late twenties, he graduated from Swift Driving Academy in Memphis, TN, and received his Commercial Drivers License. He then became an over-the-road truck driver and has traveled through nearly half of the United States. His favorite destination was South Padre Island, TX.
Chris was an entrepreneur at heart, and most of his hobbies reflected that. He loved researching new ideas and worked hard toward implementing all of his thoughts. One of his greatest desires was to write a graphic novel, and he worked on this throughout his life. Some of his other projects range from podcasting to food trucking! He was a brilliant man who loved learning. Chris believed that if one could do it, then so could he.
He also had a great love for Marvel Comics his favorite superhero was Iron Man. Like Iron Man, Chris was much stronger mentally and emotionally than people thought. He always stood up for what he believed in and never backed down. Chris proved himself to be a unique and dedicated husband and father to all. He always put forth the extra mile for the people he loved. In the words of Tony Stark, he loved his family 3,000. When Chris wasn't spending time with family, you might catch him playing his PS4 with his friends, working on new projects in his garage with his pup Daisy, or maybe just thinking of an outside-of-the-box invention. Chris was also a dedicated Chiefs fan and was overjoyed to experience a super bowl win in 2020.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandfather Marion "Marty" Loughary, his grandmother Darlene Garner, his grandfather Jose Zamora, his grandmother Florinda Zamora and his cousin Bernabe Zamora SR.
Chris will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Gabriel Zamora and Pamela Loughary. Alongside his father and mother-in-law Gary and Joan Cook. His wife and best friend of 11 years, Krystal, and six children Kaylee, Bibiana, Jorgia, Sadie, Suzanne, and Joseph Zamora. Chris will be deeply missed by his sister-in-law Dawn and significant other, Rene Rocha JR. His older sister Laurie Zamora. His brother-in-law Geary "Gebo" and wife Angel Cook, his little brother Craig and his wife, Elizabeth Joyce. He will be forever carried in the hearts of his seven nephews Angel "Bonez," Lucas, Andrew, James, Alejandro, Clyde, and Angelo. His six nieces are Joanna, Analeise, Elena, Amelia, Maggie, and Octavia. And one great-niece Ruby. Many relatives, friends, and co-workers will also miss Chris dearly.
Chris has stepped into eternity. Chris will live in the hearts and the minds of all who know him forever. Chris accepted Christ as his Savior and, on January 16, 2010, was baptized at Desperation Church in Liberty, MO. Chris raised his children to love the Lord, and there is peace in knowing that we will reunite in heaven.
There has been an enormous outpour of love extended to our family at this time. We are so grateful for friends and family like you. We sincerely appreciate your expression of sympathy and support.
On January 11, at 1:00 pm there will be a celebration of life. Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects at Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home. Chris had a great love for red roses. Due to covid-19, we ask that all attendees wear masks and do their best to practice social distancing. I know we could all use a hug, lots of love, and a physical embrace, but at this time, we respectfully ask to refrain.
