Carl Vernon Laber was born November 21, 1925. He passed away February 5, 2016. Carl was the youngest of four children born to Harry and Katherine Laber of Randolph, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Max, and a sister, Ruth Spruytte. He has one living brother, Norman, who resides in Kansas City along with his wife Shirley. Carl graduated from North Kansas City High School and lived his entire life in the North Kansas City area, except for his time of service in the U.S. Navy. Carl was very proud to have been a veteran of WWII. He returned to the Kansas City area and worked his entire career there. He retired from Corn Products. Carl was married to Judy Laber for 42 years. Judy lives in the same house they always resided in. Carl had three children from a previous marriage, Carl Jr., Michael, and Marcia. Carl’s step-children (Judy’s children) are Becky Robertson Moore and Curtis Robertson. Carl has 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Carl was an active member of Barry Christian Church. Carl was an active man. In his earlier years he loved dancing, woodworking, and camping. He worked in his yard right up to his death. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, February 11, with visitation from 10-11:00am all at White Chapel Funeral Home.
