Brian “Mooose” Lawrence Rivera, born February 4th, 1977, of Kansas City, Missouri, left this realm unexpectedly and way too early at the age of 45. He had a love for music, learning, computers, and trying to leave the world a little better than he found it.
He was often described as the smartest man people had ever met, but was an unassuming gentle giant. His kindness and compassion was only outweighed by his love for his family, his friends, and his two cats Mollie McButter and Bea.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather Deborah and David Antenesse, his father and stepmother Ronald and MaryAnn, his brother Scott, half-sister Kristi, his niece and nephew Elizabeth and Ryan (for whom he will always be Uncle Moo), and countless friends and colleagues he has made over the years.
In lieu of flowers and arrangements, the family asks that donations be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, his employer for nearly 15 years where he loved helping to serve children in need.
A Celebration of Life will be held at D.W. Newcomer and Son's White Chapel Funeral Home 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri on Saturday, April 2nd at 11:00am, followed by internment at White Chapel Cemetery.
