Brian Eugene “Curley” Hale of Carrollton, Missouri passed away on May 20, 2023, at the age of 47. He was born on December 30, 1975, in Kansas City, Missouri to Jo-Anne C. (Jody Monteil) and Kirk M. Hale.
Brian graduated from North Kansas City High School with the class of 1994 and went on to complete his Associates Degree in electronics from Northland Career Center in 1996. He earned his skydiving certification, private pilot’s license; and was a Master SCUBA Diver.
Brian lived as a fearless adventurer and outdoorsman, a brilliant practical engineer and mechanic, a skilled diver and passionate aviator. An avid musician, farmer, and rescuer of broken machines, homeless animals and those encumbered with doubt and fears that something couldn’t be done.
Brian was always quiet and unassuming, downplaying his importance. Ever kind-hearted and ready to help friends and family, and the family of friends; whomever needed a hand.
Brian was preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents.
Survivors include his parents, Jo-Anne and Kirk Hale; his sister, Kyrie (Hale) and husband, Søren
Johansen of Copenhagen; brother, Joseph Hale; his nephews, Charles and Jason; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
The void he leaves behind is profound and will be deeply felt by many.
