Bobby Lee McClure

Bobby Lee McClure “Bob”, 87, peacefully passed away July 21, 2017. Born and raised in Bethany Missouri. There he met Betty Jo Thompson, while attending high school, fell in love and married shortly thereafter. They moved to Kansas City where he was employed at Ford Motor plant in Claycomo, Missouri for 30 years. They had four children during their 34 years of marriage. Family attended Maple Park Bible Church where he helped develop the church’s bus ministry. Later they joined Glenwood Baptist Church and continued bus ministry that he loved. After he retired from Ford he worked for Kansas City Christian Schools for 12 years. He loved the Lord, his family, cars and John Deere tractors. Bob is survived by his four children, daughter Cathy Jo and spouse Mike, daughter Cindy Lea and spouse Mike, daughter Leanne and spouse John and son Michael William and spouse Roxanna; five grandchildren, Julie, Eric, Matt, Danny and Emily; and three great grandchildren, Lil Cindy, Oliver and Lucy. He was preceded in death by father Alexander, mother Juanita, four brothers, Larry, Bill, Harold and Alex, grandmother Nancy, his first love Betty Jo and great grandson, little cowboy Caden. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at White Chapel Funeral Home, Gladstone, MO with visitation one hour prior. Burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob's name may be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital, 2401 Gillham Road, Kansas City, MO 64108 or website www.childrensmercy.org.
