BEVERLEY POUNTNEY SAXON-ELLIS, 91 of Gladstone, MO passed away January 14, 2015 at Liberty Hospital. Funeral services will be at11:00 am Monday, January 19th at Church of the Good Shepherd, 4947 NE Chouteau Dr., Kansas City, MO 64119. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 4-6 pm Sunday, January 18th at White Chapel Funeral Home, Galdstone, MO. Beverly was born February 24, 1923 in Lowell, Ma. She worked as a bookkeeper and retired in 1988. Beverly was a Navy Wave in WW II and was stationed in Washington DC. She was active in Waves Unit 9 of KC. Beverley was a founding member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Kansas City, Mo. She was active in the Alter Guild and the churches Reception Committee. She was also a member of the Sewing Guild at Ararat Shrine and a member of the Red Hat Society. Beverley was preceded in death by her husband, William R Saxon in 1997 and her husband, Austin Ellis in 2001. Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Sexton of Apollo Beach, Fl.; son, Allan Saxon and wife Theresa of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; grandson, PVT. Jonathan Saxon of Ft Stewart, Ga.; stepdaughter, Karen Diaczyk of St Pete, Fl.; step grandson, Joe Musteen; and step great granddaughter, Haley of Excelsior Springs, Mo. Special to her also, Ned Carr of Apollo Beach, Fl.; and her four legged friend, Meadow. She will be deeply missed.
