She was born October 16, 1936 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Ivan A. and Winifred D. (Beal) Mayfield. Belinda would graduate from Augusta, Kansas in 1953. After graduation she would move to California and met a Marine Corp. Soldier, Larry G. Stracke, marring in 1959.
In 1979, Belinda joined the team with Hallmark Cards at the Liberty location as an order filler and later moved to the downtown location where she retired in 2004 as an order specialist. Belinda has many great memories with her time at Hallmark Cards but her fondest and most creative was bringing the cartoon character, "Maxine" alive at special events, functions, holidays, or whenever requested. With the help of her sister, Anna, creating the outfits, Belinda had a special talent for making people happy and smiling as, Maxine!
Belinda loved her time at home reading, taking care of her many flowers, traveling with her sister, going to see her granddaughter’s events.
Belinda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Larry G.
Survivors include two sons, Bart Stracke (wife, Terry) and Bret Stracke; two granddaughters, Serena Wood (husband, Tim) and Elizabeth Overby (husband, Tim); sisters, Ivona Darge (husband, Allen), Sally Fisher (husband, Roger), and Anna Rogers; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
