Barbara was born November 24, 1945, in St. Paul, MN to Arlene and Maurice Krause and was raised alongside two sisters and lots of cousins that made her childhood memorable.
Barbara joined the Women’s Army Corp in 1964 where she met her first husband Randy Koran. Barbara left the Army in 1965 as was the policy at the time, when her and Randy married and had the first of two children.
Barbara began working at General Motors in Fairfax, KS in 1976 as an assembly line worker and retired after 30 years of service in 2006.
Barbara loved spending time with her grandsons, taking them to movies, having sleep overs and playing board games. She was incredibly competitive and would not “let” them win. Her competitive spirit lives on in all of them.
Barbara loved doing ceramics and had a thriving side business pouring molds and painting finished pieces. She was exceptionally talented.
Barbara was preceded in death by her mother-Arlene Krause, Father-Maurice Krause, Sister-Judy McCormick, Brother-in-law- Charles McCormick and husbands Randy Koran, Ernest Williams, and Harry Horton. She is survived by her daughters, Lori Proctor (Blue Springs, MO), Deborah Koran (KCMO), Grandsons- Jamie Patzke (Ciana Riggins), John Proctor (Valerie Proctor), Jordan Patzke (Jessica Patzke) and Joseph Proctor (Erica Green) and Great Grandchildren, Olivia, Noah, Landen, Grace, Ronan, Hayes, Oliver, Owen, Daniel and Eliza.
A private family service will be held at White Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 2:00 PM with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association in the hopes that no other family will have to suffer from this terrible disease.
